The Hukilau, is one of the major tiki events of the year.  The Hukilau is now in it's ninth year. The Hukilau will be held  June 10-13th in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. 


Events include  a tiki cocktail challenge, a tiki bazaar, seminars, tiki music and much more.

Alot of people really enjoy the  Tiki Art Show, featuring the Tiki legend, Shag.
other notable tik artists, include Bosko, Dave Burke, Derek Yaniger, Mitch O'Connell, The Pizz, Skot Olsen, and Lisa Petrucci.

Tiki fans rejoice, Painkiller, a new Tiki Bar is set to open mid April in New York City.

Painkiller, the new tiki bar will be replacing East Side Company Bar.

Richard Boccato and his bartender, Giuseppe Gonzalez will kick off a new era of tiki in New York. The two have spent a few months traveling to classic tiki temples across North America in preparation for the new tiki bar "Painkiller". Richard says the lounge will be tiki bar meets downtown dive bar. Tiki mixed with a bit of graffiti. Richard points out that he wants something a little different than the classic or traditional tiki bar.

It's a said day in tiki world, Planet Hhollywood will


be ending it's contract with Trader Vic's.



Cabo Wabo will be a large 15,000 square foot, split-level bar, nightclub and restaurant combination.
It will be styled after the original Cabo Wabo located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

“I am ecstatic to finally introduce Las Vegas to the Cabo Wabo lifestyle,” remarked Cabo Wabo founder Sammy Hagar. “The cantina’s fun-loving, fiesta atmosphere will bring a rock and roll vibe to the heart of the Strip like people have never seen before. We are going to rock the Vegas Strip!”
