Don the Beachcomber birthday. (late post)
February 22, marks Don Beach's birthday, he was born in 1907.
Don is the founder of the tiki movement.
He got noticed when he introduced his famous potent rum cocktail "The Zombie" at the 1939 Worlds Fair.
He started restaurants, bars and nightclubs with the tropical or polynesian style in the 1940's and 50's.
He lived to be a ripe old age of 82.
